Dress Guidelines

For my million dollar speech I will of course be wearing a suit. I think that wearing a suit for any presentation makes you look and sound more credible in our society. As for women I think that they look most professional in a business skirt, dress, or slacks.

I think that is quite the assumption because I know that I try very hard in this class.  I think if Rob gave us more speeches that actually took preparation instead of what seem like random homework assignments that are on the internet and speeches that can easily be made up on the spot then it would be easier to separate those who actually put effort into what they do and those who are just good at making stuff up on the top of their head.

Group Qualities

What qualities do you possess that make you a good member of a group?

1. I think that some qualities that I have are that I enjoy both talking and listening so I can start to get the rest of the group comfortable and then listen to others.

2. I make a good group leader because I have no problem talking to people and taking charge but still taking in others view points and ideas.

3. I usually prefer leadership because I enjoy having responsibility.

Non-Verbal Communication

With my best friend Tyler if we are ever trying to tell each other something all we need is to make eye contact and we can tell the other where to look, whats going on, and if it is a good or a bad thing. some of the things that I do when I am annoyed are avoiding all eye contact with everyone and just looking down at the ground and rubbing my forehead and sometimes start tapping my foot.  Some advantages to non verbal communication are that you can decipher how some one else is feeling and then adjust what you are doing to accommodate for it and some dis advantages of it are that if you are trying to conceal your emotions many times people can still tell how you are feeling and such.

Ten Grand In Just One Weekend!?!

Ok so I just so happened to stumble upon ten thousand dollars on my way home yesterday but apparently I have to spend it within the next forty eight hours.  At first I thought it would be easy and I would just invest it but where's the fun in that?  So I decided that I would spend every last cent of it on what I've always wanted to do.

Schedule for the next forty eight hours of my life:

6:00am - Wake up ( I can sleep when I'm poor again)

7:00am - Leave for the airport to catch my flight to CA $9500

8:30am - Plane leaves for CA

10:30am (Pacific time) - Plane lands

11:00am - Rent a car and drive to the nearest outdoor/climbing store and buy
everything that I will need to make it to the top of Cathedral Peak $8500

1:00pm - Start to climb Cathedral Peak

6:00pm - Get off the route and head to the coast

10:00pm - Find a bar and buy a round for everyone $8200

1:00am - Walk the beach and find a place to sleep for the night

6:00am - Wake up.

7:00am - Find a surf shop and buy a board and gear $7900

8:00am - Get into the water and start surfing

12:00pm - Go to grill to grab a bite to eat and pay for everyone in the restaurant $7600

1:00pm - Find a skydiving company and go sky diving $7400

3:00pm - Rent a boat and a fishing guide to take me deep sea fishing $6900

6:00pm - Go to a bar and grill and buy everyone drinks and dinner $6000

10:00pm - Drive to the airport for my plane to Las Vegas $5700

11:30pm - Take off for vegas

1:30am - Get to Vegas

2:00am - Find a nice casino and gamble for a while $5000
